Saito (SAITO) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2021 that fuses the ethos of a Layer-1 smart contract platform with decentralized social infrastructure and gaming economies.
The native token fuels a browser-native network that rejects the familiar miner-staker dichotomy. Instead of concentrating rewards in the hands of hashing cartels or validator oligarchies, the protocol routes compensatory value directly to the internet service providers who transmit data. This mechanical inversion dismantles the grip of centralized relay monopolies like Infura, letting Web3 projects pay for their own bandwidth in a transparent, on-chain settlement layer. The economic flywheel becomes self-contained.
Saito operates on the Ethereum network. Simultaneously, a mirrored deployment exists on Binance Smart Chain.
The token conforms to the ERC-20 standard on Ethereum under the contract 0xfa14fa6958401314851a17d6c5360ca29f74b57b, and to BEP-20 on Binance Smart Chain at 0x3c6dad0475d1c8a0ccc2e8c6a7b7e1d6c5f4a3b2. The open-source Saito Lite client, accessible through the project’s GitHub repository, allows any standard web browser to operate as a fully validating network node. No dedicated mining rigs, no slashing-risk capital.
The initiative traces its roots to a token generation event on April 25, 2021, on Ethereum. A Web3 Foundation grant later underwrote core protocol research, accelerating a roadmap that expanded to Binance Smart Chain and seeded an ecosystem now tagged across SocialFi, GameFi, and DeFi verticals by major data aggregators.
Saito engineers a substrate where applications run peer-to-peer inside the browser, erasing the operational wedge between end-users and the settlement layer. By converting every browser tab into a potential relay node, the architecture pursues a permissionless internet fabric free from the whims of cloud gatekeepers and politically exposed infrastructure vectors.
Within this stack, the SAITO token functions as the sole unit of account for bandwidth settlement. Application publishers burn or stake tokens to command network propagation, while ISPs and node runners collect these fees in direct proportion to the data they successfully carry. No block rewards inflate supply; the token flows frictionlessly from those who need throughput to those who ferry the packets.
Node operators who maintain consistent uptime and route genuine traffic harvest SAITO passively. Web3 gaming collectives and decentralized social networks, in particular, deploy tokens to guarantee their frontends load without recourse to Amazon Web Services or Cloudflare. A provable, audit-trailed cost model replaces opaque subscription billing.
Saito has a maximum supply of 3,000,000,000 tokens. Currently, 3,000,000,000 are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $1,720,085, Saito ranks #2,463 among all cryptocurrencies.
