Hajimi (哈基米) is a cryptocurrency. It exists as a meme token on the Solana blockchain, wholly extracted from a viral mainland Chinese internet phenomenon.
The token’s cultural substrate originates from the anime Uma Musume Pretty Derby, where a character’s vocalization of the Japanese word “hachimitsu”—honey—was phonetically transcribed as “hajimi” by Bilibili audiences. Remixed into a looping beat, the audio detached from its source and saturated Douyin cat videos. This cascade mutated into an abstract, absurdist Chinese meme that now underpins a tradeable digital asset.
Hajimi operates on the Solana network. The token circulates as a standard SPL asset, inheriting the chain’s low-latency settlement. Validators process transfers in under a second, mirroring Solana’s base-layer performance.
The minting contract set a hard cap of one billion tokens. The on-chain identifier is EjamcKN1PixS…, and the asset adheres to the Solana Program Library standard. It provides no embedded governance, staking rewards, or revenue distribution mechanisms.
No single entity or developer disclosed authorship of the Hajimi token. It emerged in tandem with the meme’s fourth lifecycle stage—complete permeation of Chinese internet culture in early 2025, when the phonetic loop “hajimi wa nanbei ludou” saturated platforms from WeChat to Weibo. The tokenization event converted this ephemeral audio fad into a liquid financial vehicle.
Hajimi exists to crystallize a moment of digital folklore into a permissionless, tradable format. Rather than solving infrastructure pain points, the token acts as a community-driven artifact—a vessel for collective expression around an audio meme that bridged ACG subculture to the short-video masses.
Traders use Hajimi as a purely speculative counterparty instrument, swapping it against SOL or USDC on decentralized exchange aggregators. Price discovery relies entirely on social sentiment waves, meme remix virality, and order book depth across 59 active trading pairs. The token’s code imposes no fee-sharing or redemption rights.
Market participants can deploy the token into Solana-based liquidity pools, capturing fees from the over $3.3 million in 24-hour trading volume recorded across tracked exchanges. Speculators monitor Chinese meme-tracking dashboards and sentiment indices to time entries and exits on these high-turnover markets.
Hajimi has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Currently, 997,632,687.70 are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $12,693,054.02, Hajimi ranks #870 among all cryptocurrencies.
