RAMP (RAMP) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2020. It anchors a decentralized lending protocol engineered to release liquid capital from otherwise idle staked positions across disparate blockchain networks.
The platform targets the liquidity inefficiency that plagues proof-of-stake ecosystems, where substantial value sits unproductive in staking contracts. By allowing users to deposit yield-bearing staked tokens as collateral, RAMP furnishes them with access to stablecoin or other asset loans. This mechanism transforms frozen staking deposits into active financial levers without sacrificing staking rewards.
The RAMP token operates on the Ethereum network. It also maintains cross-chain presence via token contracts on Polygon and Binance Smart Chain.
The asset is deployed as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, while a BEP-20 implementation facilitates activity on Binance Smart Chain. No native blockchain underlies it; the protocol’s lending logic resides in publicly audited smart contracts, as evidenced by its security audit repository. Standard token functions govern transfers, while host networks supply execution and security.
The project was established in 2020 by a team based in Singapore. Its launch coincided with a period of heightened interest in cross-chain composability, as DeFi builders sought to bridge liquidity between Ethereum and emerging layer‑1 networks. Multi-chain support unfolded through subsequent token deployments on Polygon and Binance Smart Chain, broadening access to users within those ecosystems.
RAMP’s overarching purpose is to dissolve the artificial segmentation between staked asset liquidity and active capital markets. It constructs a unified money market where collateral comes from yield-generating staked positions rather than idle asset pools. The design compels a realignment of lending efficiency, where deposited collateral works twice—securing the original network and simultaneously borrowing productive liquidity.
The token operates as the protocol’s governance backend and a stake-farming accelerant. Vote-locking RAMP sways interest rate curves and collateral eligibility, while its staked balances distribute fee discounts. Emissions from the treasury route directly to liquidity providers who commit RAMP to farming pools, embedding a reflexive incentive loop.
Liquidity providers lock RAMP in designated farming programs to capture protocol emissions and a cut of borrowing fees. Borrowers who maintain a staked RAMP position unlock preferential interest rates, shrinking the cost of extracting liquidity against their staked assets. That structure clamps borrowing costs below standard market rates for committed participants.
RAMP has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Currently, 121,553,509.20 are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $3,279,207, RAMP ranks #1,926 among all cryptocurrencies.
