Powerloom (POWER) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2025, operating as an infrastructure token within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The protocol targets the exorbitant costs that Web3 applications—spanning DeFi, GameFi, and NFT platforms—bear when building and maintaining proprietary data access systems, RPC subscriptions, and SaaS tooling. Instead of burdening developers with these overheads, Powerloom delivers peer-validated datasets that live on IPFS, ensuring every data point is backed by consensus and remains transparent.
Powerloom operates on the Ethereum network. Its architecture uses a network of peer validators who achieve consensus on datasets off-chain, then record the final state to IPFS, severing the dependency on centralized data warehouses.
The native token, POWER, is an ERC-20 asset on Ethereum, interacting through the smart contract deployed at 0x429f0d8233e517f9acf6F0C8293BF35804063a83. Data integrity is maintained by a validation layer where multiple nodes independently compute and cross-check each data point before it reaches the end user. There is no reliance on a single oracle or API provider.
No individual founders are publicly associated with the project’s genesis. The protocol launched with a token generation event on January 9, 2025, distributing the initial supply into early markets. Within weeks, 11 trading pairs appeared across a handful of exchanges, though liquidity remained thin.
The long-term ambition is to commoditize onchain data infrastructure, stripping away the multi-million-dollar price tags that currently limit innovation. By making consensus-proven data a shared public utility, the network stands to flatten the competitive landscape for smaller development studios. It rejects the siloed data vendor model in favor of an open, verifiable ecosystem.
POWER tokens govern the incentive loop inside the data validation cluster: node operators deposit tokens as a proof-of-stake commitment, earning block rewards for generating accurate and timely dataset snapshots. The token itself serves as the economic coupon that turns raw computational cycles into a self-regulating market for data services. Without the token, the consensus layer has no engine to align participant behavior.
Validators lock POWER to operate a node, receiving protocol emissions that correlate with their uptime and the integrity of the data they verify. Developers spend POWER to query the network’s datasets, creating a continuous bid for the service. Token holders can delegate their holdings to validator pools, earning a cut of network fees without directly running hardware.
Powerloom has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Currently, 189,455,552 are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $108,767, Powerloom ranks #5,721 among all cryptocurrencies.
