Million (MM) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2021. It functions as a decentralized digital currency pegged to a minimum value of $1.00 USD, occupying the overlapping niches of DeFi, meme tokens, and celebrity-themed assets on the Ethereum blockchain.
The token implements an unconventional economic model: a fixed supply of one million units, each theoretically backed by a price floor of one dollar. This design aims to buffer holders against the extreme drawdowns endemic to crypto markets, offering a speculative shelter where value cannot, by protocol promise, evaporate below a hard-coded threshold. No fiat reserves or algorithmic stabilization modules enforce this peg—only market psychology and the shared conviction of participants.
Million operates on the Ethereum network. Bridged versions additionally exist on Binance Smart Chain and TomoChain, expanding the token’s reach across multiple virtual machine environments. The protocol itself is a simple token contract; it inherits Ethereum’s security model from the network’s decentralized validator set.
Technically, Million conforms to the ERC-20 standard on Ethereum, with corresponding BEP-20 and TRC-21 token implementations on its alternate chains. These standards guarantee interoperability with wallets, exchanges, and DeFi protocols that support such token formats. The smart contract code is publicly verifiable on Etherscan, and its fixed issuance is immutably hard-coded—no mint function permits supply alteration beyond the original one-million cap.
The asset traces its origin to a single creator, the pseudonymous TechLead, a former Google and Facebook engineer who had amassed more than one million subscribers on YouTube when the token launched. He introduced Million on June 30, 2021, capitalizing on his audience to bootstrap initial trading volume. The project’s following coalesced rapidly around this personality-driven launch, a dynamic common among early-stage influencer tokens.
Million’s fundamental ambition is to probe whether a purely community-enforced price floor can endure without collateral. It challenges the stablecoin paradigm by removing centralized issuers and reserve assets, substituting them with nothing but collective expectation. The experiment invites market participants to test how long a meme-backed minimum value can persist in a permissionless environment.
Within the ecosystem, the token serves as a unit of transfer and a vehicle for speculation. It can be moved between addresses, paired against other assets in decentralized exchange liquidity pools, and—where integrated—utilized as collateral in lending protocols, though such use cases remain peripheral. The absence of on-chain governance or staking mechanics means the token’s utility is purely transactional.
Traders acquire MM to bet on the durability of its dollar floor, while arbitrageurs hunt for price variances among the more than 95 active trading pairs across seven exchanges. Liquidity providers can deposit tokens into automated market maker pools, capturing fee income that, during the observed period, amounted to a 24-hour volume of $52.42. These activities form the core economic loops sustaining the token’s on-chain presence.
Million has a maximum supply of 1,000,000 tokens. Currently, 1,000,000 tokens are in circulation. No additional emissions, burns, or halving mechanisms alter this finite quantity; the total supply has been fully realized since launch. With a market capitalization of $996,179, Million (MM) ranks #2,975 among all cryptocurrencies.
