Landshare (LAND) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2021 that operates as a tokenized real estate platform on the BNB Smart Chain. Its design bridges decentralized finance with fractional ownership of U.S. residential properties, falling squarely within the real-world assets (RWA) category.
The protocol attacks the perennial illiquidity and high capital thresholds of traditional real estate by offering stablecoin vaults, house flipping pools, and a native utility token. Investors can deposit BUSD into a Property Vault to earn yields derived from regional rental income and appreciation, or commit funds to flipping ventures for lump-sum payouts. In doing so, the platform reduces real estate exposure to a mere handful of on-chain actions, eliminating deed transfers and broker commissions.
Landshare operates on the BNB Smart Chain network. As a BEP-20 token, it inherits the chain’s Proof-of-Staked-Authority finality and benefits from a block time of roughly three seconds. No separate validator set or chain infrastructure is required for the protocol’s real estate logic.
Beyond its primary deployment, LAND is also present on Polygon and Arbitrum, extending the asset’s reach into Ethereum-compatible ecosystems. The multi-chain contracts maintain identical functionality but afford users lower gas costs and additional DeFi composability. Smart contract addresses have been verified on BscScan, enabling transparent audit trails for vault assets.
The project emerged on July 31, 2021, during a period of intense experimentation with asset tokenization. No single public figurehead dominates the narrative; instead, the team operates through structured smart contracts and a governance protocol that invites community participation. Early development focused on building the Property Vault architecture, a mechanism that tethers stablecoin deposit capacity directly to the appraised value of referenced U.S. homes.
Landshare’s objective is not merely to create another yield aggregator, but to recode property ownership as a globally accessible, permissionless primitive. By transforming deeds into on-chain shares, the protocol aims to dismantle geographic and income-based exclusions that have historically confined real estate to a narrow investor class. This vision places it alongside other RWA efforts attempting to merge physical asset liquidity with blockchain settlement finality.
The LAND token functions as a gatekeeper for the platform’s full suite of services. Staking LAND is required to activate access to the Property Vault, and the token also serves as the sole credential for submitting governance proposals that determine asset selection, fee parameters, and vault capacity limits. Additionally, it captures value through a deflationary design that includes manual buybacks, periodic token burns, and a hard supply cap.
Yield-seeking participants must lock LAND to receive boosted stablecoin returns from the Property Vault, effectively tying token demand to deposit activity. Vault depositors earn LAND rewards in proportion to their locked BUSD, incentivizing long-term holding while distributing governance power to those most exposed to the platform’s performance. In house flipping pools, LAND holders can vote to approve or reject specific renovation projects, directly steering the portfolio’s risk profile.
Landshare has a maximum supply of 10,000,000 tokens. Currently, 7,165,088.87 LAND are in circulation. The supply is constrained by token burns and a capped minting schedule designed to reinforce scarcity. With a market capitalization of $1,112,129.00, Landshare ranks #2,878 among all cryptocurrencies.
