Hashtagger.com (MOOO) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2021 that anchors a SocialFi protocol designed to compensate community members for evangelizing decentralized projects on social media.
The platform addresses a persistent imbalance: blockchain startups need authentic community reach, while long-time supporters often advocate without any financial return. Hashtagger bills itself as a crypto-community-as-a-service provider. Companies launch hashtag-based marketing campaigns. Contributors submit links to their tweets. Smart contract logic then disburses token rewards in proportion to the engagement each post attracts.
The token operates on the BNB Smart Chain network. As a BEP-20 asset, it inherits the speed and low transaction costs of Binance’s parallel ecosystem. Its contract address, recorded on BscScan and other explorers, governs the supply and distribution logic.
Strictly a BEP-20 standard token, MOOO interoperates with wallets and dApps that support the BNB Smart Chain. The contract, verifiable on BscScan, encodes the engagement-weighted payout mechanism. No additional technical layer—such as a proprietary consensus—modifies the standard token behavior.
The project emerged in December 2021, when the SocialFi narrative began gaining traction. Its whitepaper, hosted on GitBook, lays out a system where what was once free labor—crypto evangelism—gets quantified and compensated through campaign-specific hashtags. Early adoption remains thin; the protocol lists only four active markets and modest daily volume.
The long-term objective centers on recalibrating how decentralized projects build grassroots momentum. Rather than relying on opaque influencer deals or airdrop farming bots, Hashtagger envisions a transparent meritocracy where genuine community members become paid stakeholders. This structurally aligns a project’s growth incentives with the individuals who publicly advocate for it.
Mechanically, the MOOO token acts as the settlement layer for these marketing campaigns. Project treasuries fund campaign pools; managers define hashtags and reward curves; users who post compliant content and submit the URLs to Hashtagger’s interface receive MOOO distributions based on a verifiable engagement metric. The token does not confer governance rights or staking yields—it is a pure work-for-reward instrument.
A user holds MOOO after participating in a campaign, effectively a receipt for social labor performed. Holders may retain the tokens as a speculative asset or liquidate them on the two exchanges where MOOO trades against stablecoins or other digital assets. The act of holding could also signal alignment with specific projects that the user repeatedly champions, though the protocol does not yet programmatically reward such loyalty beyond singular campaign payouts.
Hashtagger.com has a maximum supply of 30,000,000 MOOO tokens. Currently, 1,986,336 MOOO are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $40,724, Hashtagger.com ranks #7,350 among all cryptocurrencies.
