HanChain (HAN) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2019. The project functions as a dual cryptocurrency platform with a DeFi architecture anchored to tangible commerce, comprising an online shopping portal (BENECIA), mobile coupon distribution (GiftiKhan), mobile advertising (AdKhan), and a suite of media streaming services including NFT-WebDrama, NFT-MusicVideo, and K-POP streaming via MusiKhan, plus a global travel reservation system called TourKhan.
HanChain positions itself at the intersection of decentralized finance and everyday consumer spending, attempting to collapse the gap between token utility and actual retail, media, and travel expenditures. The token serves as the native transactional and settlement medium across BENECIA’s e-commerce marketplace, GiftiKhan’s mobile voucher system, and AdKhan’s advertising network, while simultaneously underpinning staking mechanisms for NFT-WebDrama, NFT-MusicVideo, and tokenized music copyrights. By embedding DeFi instruments into a consumer-facing suite, the project targets the friction of siloed reward points and fragmented digital payment ecosystems.
HanChain operates on the Ethereum network, with an additional token contract deployed on Optimism, a Layer 2 scaling solution. The asset conforms to the ERC-20 standard on both layers, enabling compatibility with the wider decentralized application ecosystem.
The token leverages Ethereum’s EVM environment for smart contract execution, and its Optimism deployment reduces gas costs while maintaining full EVM equivalence. The smart contract architecture supports staking pools for HanChain tokens as well as for tokenized media assets, allowing holders to lock assets in exchange for yields derived from platform activity.
HanChain emerged in early 2019, with its token genesis on March 5 of that year. The project’s design is documented in a white paper hosted on GitHub, outlining a model that fuses DeFi yield mechanics with a multi-brand commercial ecosystem. The token initially circulated solely on Ethereum mainnet before a subsequent Optimism deployment addressed scaling demands for its payment and couponing services.
HanChain’s long-term vision extends beyond simple payments, aiming to forge a closed-loop token economy that melds DeFi incentives with everyday consumer touchpoints such as retail shopping, mobile advertising, and entertainment streaming. CoinPaprika’s documentation frames the network as a tool for boosting supply chain transparency among stakeholders, suggesting a dual mandate of consumer utility and enterprise data integrity.
Within the system, HAN tokens are used to settle transactions across BENECIA, GiftiKhan, AdKhan, and TourKhan, replacing fiat intermediaries with a unified digital asset. The token further serves as the required staking asset for earning NFT-WebDrama, NFT-MusicVideo, and token-MusicCopyright yields, directly tying consumption activity to protocol participation. Payment incentives structured via the PayKhan sub-brand encourage merchants to accept HAN for coupon campaigns and loyalty rewards.
Holders can stake HAN to access revenue-sharing mechanisms tied to the performance of the NFT-WebDrama and MusiKhan streaming platforms, converting passive holdings into active positions in content monetization. Merchants and advertisers acquire HAN to fund coupon distribution on GiftiKhan and mobile ad campaigns via AdKhan, while consumers spend it for discounts on hotel stays through TourKhan. Tokenized music copyright staking offers a further avenue for yield generation, creating a circular demand loop between creators, platforms, and users.
HanChain has a maximum supply of 1,500,000,000 tokens. Currently, 630,372,826.82 HAN are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $157,996.00, HanChain ranks #5,161 among all cryptocurrencies.
