About GEMSTON

GEMSTON (GEMSTON) is a cryptocurrency. Native to the TON ecosystem, it functions as the engagement token for STON.fi, a cross-chain zero-trust decentralized exchange and automated market maker on the same network.

STON.fi positions itself as a Request For Quote-based exchange that executes cross-chain swaps atomically through Hashed Timelock Contracts. This architecture eliminates trusted intermediaries entirely—no wrapped assets, no custodian-dependent bridges—solving the persistent weakness of cross-chain liquidity fragmentation while preserving the non-custodial integrity of a typical intrachain DEX.

GEMSTON operates on the TON network. The layer-1 blockchain, originally architected by Telegram, serves as the settlement layer for the token’s transfers and the execution environment for STON.fi’s smart contracts.

The STON.fi protocol relies on a zero-trust model where HTLCs enforce atomicity. Either both sides of a trade settle, or neither does, removing settlement risk. GEMSTON itself is a standard fungible asset on TON, transferable via the network’s native account model. The DEX’s RFQ design aggregates liquidity from professional market makers, offering quotes without the slippage problems common in constant-function market makers, while a planned rollout extends cross-chain functionality to TRON and EVM-compatible chains.

STON.fi launched its automated market maker on TON in November 2022, following the project’s founding in May of that year. The GEMSTON token emerged as a mechanism to reward early participants, aligning incentives without a pre-mine or public sale. Official documentation does not name individual founders, but the codebase is open-source and hosted under the ston-fi organization on GitHub.

The protocol’s long-term objective is a fully trustless cross-chain trading experience where no intermediate party—developer, relay, or bridge operator—can censor or extract rent. By combining RFQ-based liquidity aggregation with HTLC settlement, STON.fi eliminates systemic risks that have plagued wrapped-token bridges. GEMSTON serves this vision by decentralizing engagement and distributing protocol ownership among active users rather than early investors.

GEMSTON’s sole on-chain function is as a reward token. Stakers providing liquidity to STON.fi pools receive freshly issued GEMSTON directly to their TON wallets, with no vesting or locks. The tokens are standard fungible assets that can be held, transferred, or traded at the recipient’s discretion, creating a liquid incentive layer that circulates entirely outside the protocol’s own fee mechanisms.

A liquidity provider who deposits TON and USDT into a STON.fi pool earns GEMSTON tokens in proportion to their share of the pool. Those tokens can then be swept into a personal wallet and sold on a TON-native decentralized exchange, or accumulated as a speculative position on the protocol’s growth. The token’s lack of governance rights currently limits its utility to this reward cycle, though DAO functionality is on the roadmap.

GEMSTON has a total supply of 20,847,141 tokens. Currently, 0 are in circulation, as no tokens have been distributed to users from the yet-to-be-released reward contracts. Emission mechanics and any potential inflation rates remain undocumented. With a market capitalization of $0, GEMSTON ranks #6,662 among all cryptocurrencies.
