Blockchain Bets (BCB) is a cryptocurrency launched in 2023. It anchors a decentralized betting and casino ecosystem competing directly against legacy, centralized gambling behemoths.
Sportsbooks and online casinos have long been plagued by opaque odds, delayed payouts, and custodial risk. Blockchain Bets programmatically eliminates these frictions by deploying non-custodial smart contracts that settle wagers without intermediaries. The platform unifies sports betting markets—ranging from football to global tournaments—with a suite of provably fair casino games, all verifiable on-chain.
Blockchain Bets operates on the Ethereum network. The asset exists as an ERC-20 token, inheriting the security guarantees and decentralized infrastructure of Ethereum’s execution layer.
Native ERC-20 compliance ensures broad compatibility with Ethereum wallets, decentralized exchanges, and automated market maker pools. The token contract, deployed at a verifiable address on mainnet, uses standard functions for transfer and approval without custom augmentation. Trading activity is thin but measurable; eight active markets exist across one exchange, with 24-hour volume reported at $112.84.
Blockchain Bets did not emerge from a named founding team but rather from the ashes and triumphs of World Cup Inu ($WCI), a World Cup-themed token that captured substantial attention with endorsements from football icons Ronaldinho, Luis Suárez, Dani Alves, Pedro, and Ivan Rakitić. That earlier project’s momentum and community were channeled directly into BCB when the token launched on January 2, 2023, transferring the mission to build the largest DeFi betting hub.
Where conventional gambling platforms are gatekept by licensing jurisdictions and corporate margins, Blockchain Bets pursues a permissionless arena where outcomes are debated and paid out by code. The protocol envisions a self-sovereign gaming environment, stripping away the trust requirements that have historically caused counterparty failures and payout disputes.
BCB functions as the native account unit across the entire platform. To enter a wager on a sporting event or engage a virtual blackjack hand, users must convert their value into BCB and deposit it into the protocol’s escrow contracts. The token acts as the settlement medium, enabling transparent value transfer between bettors, house, and liquidity providers without relying on a centralized clearance system.
Sports bettors lock BCB into event-specific pools, with payout distributions triggered automatically by oracle-confirmed outcomes. Casino participants deploy BCB in interactive game sessions where each spin or card draw is committed on-chain for public verifiability. Market makers supply liquidity to BCB pairs on integrated exchanges, capturing spreads while deepening the token’s utility footprint.
Blockchain Bets has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Currently, 877,672,966 are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $347,301, Blockchain Bets ranks #4,128 among all cryptocurrencies.
