Auctus (AUC) is a cryptocurrency operating as a decentralized options protocol. The project delivers trustless minting and settlement of call and put options across multiple markets.
Counterparty risk evaporates when option settlement runs directly on smart contracts. No clearinghouse, no broker—just deterministic code enforcing the terms of each call and put. The entire infrastructure replaces discretionary middlemen with verifiable on-chain execution.
Ethereum anchors the entire settlement kernel. Arbitrum and BNB Smart Chain host parallel deployments, giving traders access to lower-cost execution without surrendering composability. This multichain footprint funnels liquidity from distinct Layer 1 and Layer 2 ecosystems into a unified derivatives layer.
Every option class materializes as an ACOToken, an ERC-20 asset that moves freely through DeFi money legos. Open Zeppelin audited the core contracts, flagging no critical flaws in the minting and exercise pathways. The repositories, though modest, reflect a multi-contract architecture maintained through iterative upgrades.
The protocol surfaced without a publicly documented founding team, an artifact of permissionless development during DeFi’s expansion. Its whitepaper detailed a trustless options marketplace where any user could create, price, and settle derivatives directly on-chain. Two independent code audits and a phased mainnet rollout preceded the v1 launch, embedding security before liquidity arrived.
The project’s guiding ambition is to erase the gulf between sophisticated derivatives and retail participants by removing custody, margin gatekeepers, and geographic permissions. Pricing depends on algorithmic curves rather than off-chain oracles, and settlement triggers purely on-chain events, leaving a fully auditable trail of every premium paid and every strike exercised.
Minting a call option requires locking the underlying deposit into a factory contract; the protocol then issues a fungible ACOToken that embodies the obligation. A counterparty buys it via the on-chain order book or the constant-product AMM, where premiums adjust continuously to real-time supply and volatility. At expiry, settlement unspools without manual intervention—option writers keep the premium and any excess collateral, while holders exercise automatically when in-the-money.
A long-term ETH holder mints out-of-the-money calls to harvest premium while retaining price appreciation. A market maker pours stablecoins into the AMM pool to capture bid-ask spreads as options churn through short expiration cycles. Algorithmic vaults roll weekly covered calls, compressing multiple manual transactions into a single capital-efficient strategy.
Auctus (AUC) has a total supply of 65,829,630.62 tokens. Currently, 35,535,879.77 are in circulation. With a market capitalization of $16,376.83, Auctus (AUC) ranks #9,029 among all cryptocurrencies.
